Next up: The Spartan Imports booth. Spartan has been expanding their exclusive distribution of several brands in the US. On display were Classic Army, Magpul PTS, and Ares airsoft guns. Unfortunately we didn't have time to photograph the Ares stuff, but the next edition of Chairsoft Magazine will have some extra coverage in that area.
Ah yes... the MINIGUN. This is no clone of the Echo 1... this is a completely new design. The battery only rotates the barrels, which has a mechanism to load the BBs. A tank of gas is required to proppel the BBs, with some sort of adjustable pressure sytem from 300-500 FPS.
The unloaded and unpowered beast weights 22lbs, so start hitting the gym now. This thing is as solid as a block of steel. At this time there is no price or release date information.
There were some nice prototypes on display, including this Gas Blow Back M4 with "Tango Down" etched on on the receiver.
It didn't feel quite as solid as the KWA GBB M4s, but we expect this one to cost a bit less, which should give more airsofters an opportunity to experience the GBB goodness.
Here is a prototype of some wicked looking machine gun:
...and a custom CA25 URX pimped out with Magpul parts
And finally, some Magpul AEG loving... This Magpul M4 is just sweet
We also felt up the upcoming Magpul ACR. Sexy time!
The ACR felt great. Unfortunately they didn't have all of the conversion available to play with, This will be a bit costly to have all of the options available, but players may like having a "one stop shop" for their airsoft needs.
Overall Spartan Imports had a great lineup on display! We are looking forward to getting more details on the EBR and GBB M4.
