Last but not least... the G&G Booth.
Here we have the G&G version of the FN2000, the GN2000. This was a prototype unit that didn't yet have the hop-up unit installed, so there is a lot of mystery surrounding this one. The FN2000 certainly isn't for everyone, but the externals were a good match-up against the real thing.

The L85 is just plain cool... It's already released, but it's very unique and comes complete with pnumatic blowback. This thing comes in 2 varients: the A1 and the A2. The version pictured below is the longer variant, the L85 A1. I didn't really want to put it back down, but eventually I had to move on.

On the first wall, in addition to the bullpup L85 mentioned above, we have "stockless" variants of the M4. Instead of a traditional stock, these only have a weighted stock tube to help balance the weapon (Thanks to RJ @ Chairsoft magazine for that explaination after seeing my puzzled look). There are awesome for CQB scenarios. Underneath them were some prototypes of the G96 line of gas powered sniper rifles. Some of these bodies are made from real wood, a really nice touch.

The next wall shows the G&G Sig 550, now joined by 3 other length variants (The 551, 552, and 553). The build quality and overall look on these makes any Sig fan want to collect the whole set. At the bottom we have more variants of the G96 gas sniper rifles, we'll have a closer look at one later.

More prototypes are seen below. Unfortunately in an image deleting spree we lost the display of the upcoming SCAR Heavy, but we can confirm it is on the way.

These are a mix of all kinds of goodies...Some are entry level plastic bodies, some are the pro-line metal bodies, and some TopTech AEGs with blowback.

Here are some close-ups of the L96 gas sniper rifle. No release date or pricing information was available, but the L96 felt very sturdy. We are looking to add gas sniper rifles to our inventory, and this may be the one to finally do it.

And nogw for the EBR. Surprisingly light for such a big weapon. We will really be keeping an eye on this one.

G&G showed off a lot of goodies. As usual, there were a little light on the info, but we are used to that around here. Here is a video highlight of all the 2010 goodies

The KWA booth had several unexpected surprises!

First up were several configurations of the new KWA MP9: The KPM9 and KPM9R. This is not a rebranding of KSC's MP9 by any means. The SMG has been re-engineered with the NS2 Gas Blowback System. The KMP9 will be available with either a tac-rail or a foregrip. Both of these configurations will be available in Black, Tan, and Ranger Green. Expect to see them released around March or April!

There were rumors that KWA would be showing their prototype GBB M4. Well, here they are... Too bad you won't be able to get your hands on em until June or July!

The LM4 PTR and LM4 SR7 will be the two initial releases for KWA's GBB M4 line, but others are already planned. The guns feel incredibly solid. The only potential downside is that the grips will be proprietary. This design was necessary to support the blow back action and still conform with the ATF regulations that prevent the airsoft gun from being converted to fire a real rifle round. Overall, this was the best way to go. KWA will be making alternative compatible grips, as well as encouraging third party manufacturers to do the same.

The prototype is pretty much complete, but KWA is still working to improve the durability of the magazines. Anyone who has used existing GBB M4s (such as the WE or Western Arms) may have encountered magazines that break from a few drops. Having GBB rifles supported by US distributers will be awesome for the airsoft community. In the event issues do arise, or repair parts are needed, they will be much easier to obtain. Classic Army had a GBB M4 prototype as well, stay tuned for the Spartan Imports booth write-up.

Speaking of gas powered guns, KWA is now making their own Green Gas! Air Armory will be carrying this product soon. Not much else to say, but I was able to man-handle a can of it.

Also on display were the latest line of KWA Gas Blowback pistols. There are many new designs and grips for the 1911 PTPs, as well as the brand new 2011.

We have to apologize for the late first entry... Attending Shot Show 2010 in Las Vegas has been a double-edged sword. As far as positives go, Vegas is great fun, and the Sands Convention Center is massive. Unfortunately, there is so much to do around here that its hard to find time to resize/catalog all of images and write a decent entry to go with them. Oh, and we are down about $50 amoung several casinos. We better get used to it (and get better at gambling), because the Shot Show is already slated to be here for the next several years.

We will start adding pictures and information over the next couple days. For now, there are some highlights that deserve a shout out:

Both KWA and Classic Army have Gas Blow Back (GBB) M4 prototypes on display. These were rumored to be in existance, but we have now held them (pics soon!). Apparently there has been dialog with ATF to make sure the design is compliant to prevent conversion to a real firearm, which was apparently an issue with the existing WE and Western Arms models from over-seas. Designs are near complete and we should see these released around half way through the year.

Classic Army's Minigun is on display... very sexy! Some weight lifting will be required to field it.

KWA announced (and has on display) an MP9 with NS2 internals. There are foregrip and tac-rail configurations, as well as different color bodies. These are planned to be released within a couple months. This should go nicely with the just-released KWA branded green gas. They also have some sweet looking 1911 PTPs on display.

Airsoft Innovations Detonation Impact Grenade is being pimped out via cut-away model. That means we will have these in stock soon!

Pantac USA has made thier debut with some very nice looking gear. Release time-frame is planned for mid-february.

Coming (very) early in July: Brand New Condor Tactical Slings and Mounts made here in the USA!

First up is a new COBRA single point sling with dual bungies. Condor has a similar option available now, but this is redesigned for both function and quality by updating the snap hook and adding 2 additional quick-release buckles. Available in Black, Olive Drab, Tan, ACU*, and Multicam*.  

There is an upgrade kit for the COBRA sling to mount it directly to your chest rig. This should be a really popular option for players using Carbine and CQB length weapons. By distributing the weight to your vest, those long walks to respawn will feel a lot shorter! The quick release will always be right where you mount it, eliminating the need to look away from your target. Available in Black, Olive Drab, Tan, and ACU.

 

Next up is the CBT 2 point sling with dual bungies. This is ideal for larger weapons that you'd prefer to sling at your side. This sling also has a single point configuration (as seen in the lower image), making it an awesome choice for players that change their weapon loadout often. Available in Black, Olive Drab, Tan, ACU*, and Multicam*.

 

For those that want configuration flexibily, there is a Mash Connector upgrade kit that is compatible with all Condor's USA made slings. The kit allows you to convert one quick-release point to hoop connection. Available in Black, Olive Drab, Tan, and ACU.

 

The SPEEDY sling is your basic 2 point sling with no bungies, but adds the quick release buckle at both ends. This one uses a strap connection as opposed to the metal clasp of the other slings. Black, Olive Drab, Tan, and Foliage Green 

 

Condor is also releasing a high quality pistol lanyard. Not only can these prevent you from losing your side-arm, but it will also greatly reduce the impact from a drop. Available only in Black.
