Storyline:

The year is 2020…

Earth’s natural resources are being depleted at an exponential rate. Each new discovery of Oil, Gas, or Coal becomes heavily contested by all nations.

On the Island of Culum off the coast of Africa, a discovery of a large pocket of Oil and Natural gas has left the tiny island nation in conflict.

General Utualu Gonganu *(Tan) is waging a civil war against any who oppose him. He is being financially backed by unnamed corporations bent on controlling one of the last few bastions of natural resources this planet has to offer. These corporations have hired private armies *(PMC TAN/GREY/DARK BLUE TOPS) to assist General Gonganu in controlling the region.

President Elect Batamali Uswallii *(Green) has rallied the armies of Culum to fight off the General. U.N.  *(ABU/ACU/JEANS BLACK TOPS) forces have inserted a small contingent of fighters to assist in training and helping the Culum army, but are unwilling to divert any more resources without causing international conflicts.

Both are unwilling to come to peace talks, and the small nation of Culum is suffering because of this Fractured State….

Zombie Hill V: After Action Report

by Armorer 5/19/2009 6:07:00 AM

We'd like to thank Pennsylvania Airsoft Productions for hosting one hell of a game! We are already amped for the Zombie Hill VI which will take place on October 31st, 2009. That's right... a Zombie themed airsoft game taking place ON Halloween!

We created a web album with pictures taken at the game, which you can check out here.

There was a bonus at the end of the day. Survival Mode! Here is a sweet video of our S.T.A.R.S. team laying waste to a horde of Zombies:

(captions provided by yours truly)

Here is a brief recap of the game:

There were some guidelines set at the start of that game, the best of which was for zombies to move towards those trying to bait them. This added a tactical element in leading zombies away from objectives so your teamates could get to them safely. And even better... you could migrate said zombies toward the opposing teams. Another addition was the "looting" system that gave you 10 seconds to take the ammo off a downed teammate (as long as they were willing to give it up, and you could safely get to them) before they turned zombie. There were also some changes to the initial ammo loadout, but these may be tweaked again for ZHVI to add more difficulty.

During the first half of the day, S.T.A.R.S. met up with the ARMY, who lied about not having a key item (one of two special guns that acted as a key). We searched the whole damn field looking for that second key with many zombies in tow! I am happy to say we stole a triangle key from the ARMY base, so some justice was had. Their triangle key, when combined with another one we found earlier, unlocked a special door. That structure contained a box mag that gave us access to the SAW machine gun for our last stand against the zombies! Unfortunately, the SAW didn't have a battery installed. No, that was not a trick, or even part of another puzzle... just pure zombie-flick irony.

We only had breif run ins with Umbrella, Nemesis (check out the pics above to see his awesome outfit!), and Doctor Berkin. Zombie in range of the Doctor were able to use firearms and follow his commands. Apparenly this didn't end well for those who had to face him, so I am glad we didn't. Towards the end of the second scenario. we actually finding the SAW which (much to our surprise and excitement) was in working order. The zombies were torn to shreds for a good while... until our operator eventually got doused in zombie vomit (aka silly string), which left the rest of us vulnerable to a serious zombie rush. That was ultimately the fall of S.T.A.R.S.

But in the end, we were still declared the victor for having the last man standing. I have to say the zombies won their feast, though.

It was an absolutely awesome day, with a lot of really fun scenarios that you had to be there to enjoy. Bring on Zombie Hill VI!
